	Zzaap and the Word Master
	Mondays 10:50am 7th April - 19th May 2008 6 × 20 minute episodes

There was also a repeat of Spelling Strategies scheduled to be shown during June 2008. However due to some late schedule changes during May this broadcast has now been cancelled.

[edit] On the CBBC Channel

From February 2002 until March 2008, schools programmes were shown on the CBBC Channel in a block called "Class TV". However this has now stopped.

The latest "service licence" for CBBC, issued by the BBC Trust in April 2008, only requires that the Channel shows "factual programming", rather than "factual and schools programming"^[1]. The Channel therefore plans to show their own factual programmes rather than any schools programmes, which are owned and managed by a different department of the BBC.

CBBC's final schools programme was English Express: Own Goal episode 5, on 20th March 2008. Their final Look and Read story was Through the Dragon's Eye, in February 2008.

[edit] Other Broadcasts

Other known broadcasts:

• Many Look and Read programmes were shown on the international channel BBC Prime when it decided to broadcast schools programmes from 2004 to 2006. The units shown were: Captain Crimson, The Legend of the Lost Keys, Sky Hunter II, Spelling Strategies, Spelling with the Spellits and Zzaap and the Word Master.

• Zzaap and the Word Master was shown several times on Teachers' TV in the UK. The first run was 25th July - 1st August 2005.

• Spelling with the Spellits has been shown, and is still repeated, on the ABC in Australia.

• TVIQ in Malaysia has shown several Look and Read stories. Most recently they showed Spelling Strategies on 16th - 18th May 2007, and from November 2007 there have been more stories including Sky Hunter II and Captain Crimson.
